"top-15"

"fast riser" (out of queue in 2 days)

"super fast riser" (out of queue in 1 day)

"Awesome" (top 15 in 2 days)

"Super Awesome" (top-15 in one day)

"Way Above Average" (calculate average number of votes that videos submitted each week got)

"beloved video" (favorited by some percentage of active users.)

"heavily playlisted" (in playlists of X number of users)

"saved"

"died"

"resurrected"

"Promoted"

Does anybody remember the post that sometimes made a few months back? The idea of having medals that a video could earn? I was going back through sift talk recently and stumbled upon it again, and thought it worth bringing up again. *promote doesn't work on sift talk, unfortch, so I'm just reposting instead. SO what do you think? Maybe for VS3?

Sift Up in London
posted by Krupo 1 year 8 months 1 week ago • 160 views
Okay, so tomorrow morning I land in London. Any Sifters that want to meet up, drop me a line by email. My address is in my profile.

But seeing as how I do not have regular net access, best person to contact is Michie to figure out where we will be meeting. Somewhere downtown where beer is available is the most likely location.

Also, I must announce to all that coding HTML on a German keyboard is painful.

What bothers you the most about VideoSift?
posted by dag 1 year 9 months 2 weeks ago • 77 views
As James mentioned in an earlier thread - VideoSift is going through a major rewrite of the backend code (yay! Lucky). We would like to fix the little things that can be frustrating. We know that VS is far from perfect as a user interface.

So what is the one thing that bugs you the most? We may already be fixing it, but we'd like to hear about it anyway.

Videosift Meetup No. Four: bigger, better, & more burlesque
posted by Krupo 1 year 10 months ago • 230 views
An unprecedented five Sifters met up last week in Toronto.

Aside from myself of course, securedesk joined me to meet Therealblankman again. This time maudlin and messenger joined us.

For the second consecutive time, Toronto hosted a meet-up, the last occurring merely a month ago.

Once more, we chose a venue where drinks could be had. This time it was Hart House at the University of Toronto - the huge student centre which was hosting a performance to celebrate International Women's Day, called Delectable Divas. Live performers - including the burlesque the headline alluded to - were enjoyed along with three seperate buffet tables set up with desserts.

The meet up was judged a huge success by all in attendance, and the real life strength, or whatever you want to call it, of Videosift members continues to grow.
